The Rouxpour in Houston
New Orleans-inspired flavors came to life with a dish featuring flounder stuffed with crab, bacon-wrapped jalapeño peppers, and half a dozen oysters on the half shell from The Rouxpour at Baybrook in Houston.
However, the dining experience was marred by lackluster service. Despite the premium price point, our waiter was disappointingly inattentive, rarely engaging with us and seeming to rush through our meal. The hostesses at the front also appeared disengaged, contributing to a sense of unwelcomeness.
On a positive note, the restaurant's interior design was exceptional, complementing the overall ambiance. Despite the service shortcomings, the food itself was satisfying, delivering on its promise of New Orleans-inspired flavors.
